Principal's Message

Welcome to the Caernarvon Elementary School website. On behalf of our entire team, thank you for choosing Edmonton Public Schools and Caernarvon Elementary.

I am incredibly thrilled to join the school this year as your new Principal, especially because I actually began my teaching career right here at Caernarvon. Returning to this wonderful community is a true privilege, and it feels like coming home.

We look forward to developing strong, collaborative partnerships with you to build a learning community that nurtures the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child. Strong relationships are the foundation of everything we do as educators. We are immensely fortunate to have an exceptional team of teachers and support staff, supportive families, and incredible students.

Our staff deeply values and celebrates the rich diversity of our school community, and we continuously strive to foster an environment that is warm, compassionate, and respectful. I aim to be approachable, active, and present throughout our hallways and classrooms every day, and I encourage all of our families to stay engaged and involved in school life.

Sincerely,

Mr. Shannon McMorran
Principal, Caernarvon Elementary School
